I have a bunch of 4-track demo tapes I made in the mid-to-late-90s sitting in my basement, and some of them have songs I really would like to recover. The recorder I used is LONG dead (some tascam piece of shit), and I don't want to buy another one.
Is it even POSSIBLE to recover...
My current system is an old core 2 quad cpu (oc'd to about 3ghz, mostly stable) with 4 gigs of ram. The new one has an i7 980 extreme with 12gb ram, so I'm obviously keeping that (and its RAID-0 wd drives and the pcie OCZ revodrive, too)... but the videocard? Not sure.
