For the price of the 8core you can build an entire fx 8 core pc. How many more years would I get out of my 4770k? 2016ish?

Considering most games are video card dependent and very few take advantage of even 4 cores I'd say 2020.

We're also getting shitty console ports to the PC which are gimped with crap like being capped at 30fps.

The gtx 9-series is rumored to drop mid september, so thankfully that's within amazon's return period
