cocktail recipes

Sounds like you go to some shitty bars

Well, your opinion is wrong, if you're going to make a known named cocktail, do it right or dont do it at all

which nola bars are you going to that make this drink exactly the same because i'd fucking love to film this shit and prove my point

i literally was downtown last weekend, hit carousel, pat o's, and even the fucking sazerac bar itself and each place made it differently.

pat o's is hurricanes only

Was in NO a few weeks ago and hate to admit carousel and sazeracs have really fallen off from what I remember but my bartender did make mine how I described above

carousel is turning into a hipster bar it's pretty sad

there's also a lot of really depressing looking old guys every time i go so im crossing it off my list of nice places.

Sriracha Sauce
Fresh squeezed lime juice

I call this the Hunter S because this is how he drank them at Woody Creek.

Get yourself a tall glass. Not a sissy girth either.
Fill it with shaved ice.
Crushed will do in a pinch but shaved ice is best.
Fill the glass 3/4 with your favorite gin.
Tanq is just fine.
Top it off with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.

Hammer it back and repeat.
And again.
That will take the edge off whatever needs the edge taken off.

Dark and stormy
Four second pour kraken, three ice Cubes, 40% of ginger beer of total volume. More or less

It's fufu but delicious

French Apple Old Fashioned
- 1 1/2 oz. Remy 1738
- 1/2 oz. Christian Drouin Pommeau de Normandie
- 1/2 oz. Small Hand Foods Gum Syrup
- 1 bar spoon Art in the Age Root
- 1 bar spoon St Elizabeth Allspice Dram
- 1 dash Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas bitters
- 1 dash Bar Keep Apple bitters
- 3, 1/2 inch square chunks, Granny Smith apple

That is one of the most pretentious things I ever read. Looks like something Kiint would come up with. Are these really ingredients that most people could actually find?

whatever happened to 3 parts gin 2 parts vodka and a dash of bitters

:bigthumb: to all the Dark and Stormy fans

I just bought a bottle of Ron Jeremy rum for a bro - I wouldn't mind sticking that in a dark and stormy, I'll have to grab a bottle for myself.

But Kraken is just soooo

The alcohol to make that drink costs a small fortune. I actually had near a dozen of these at a schmooze fest in Irvine at a Lexus dealership. They were so good I had the tender give me the recipe. They are delicious as all hell but yea...
