Rick and Morty season 3

This was a callout to the rumors that Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon were fighting and that’s why it took so long to make Season 3. Those rumors didn’t end up being true, but they dominated the news for a while.
 
I didn't hate it.

They had to build up the backstory for Beth to match the coolness of their pathetic dad, and how they kinda built up Summer, also Morty has a ton more depth.

I wasn't graceful though.
 
the whole timmy subplot was one of the most fucked up things i've ever seen lol. i mean he fucks things... to make babies... to eat them... what the fuck
 
i think there was an interesting commentary about how the older we get we romanticize our youth and pretend we were perfect kids that weren't toxic or mean or shitty

or pretend that we lived in a horribly dangerous world that future generations need to be protected from by passing nanny-state bullshit laws about how everything needs to be bouncy and safe

when really, we lived in a very safe time and were just as shitty if not worse
