Flying cars go mainstream when Google and company build driverless vehicles that can remove the human element from transport. Watching Blade Runner..... that gibberish he talked was city speak... gutter talk....a mishmash of Japanese, Spanish, German, what have you.

It isn't even that. Think about how irresponsible most regular drivers are. Do you really want to allow your average joe (even having received a pilot's license) access to something that could collide with a building or house. Furthermore, you know terrorist would be the first to buy these up and start flying them into everything or drug lords using this to do drug runs. There are more negative implications with this than positive ones.
