[PICS] The new bar at my fraternity house

alcohol is overrated anyway

Way too many college students use it as a social crutch.

I'm not saying I don't enjoy it time to time though :x

that's a pretty cool bar man. What school are you at? I know frats aren't really that big up north, so are you guys SEC country? What do you do at your frat bar? Do you charge people money for drinks? Or is it just a place for underage people to pretend like they're at a real bar?

I went to auburn, and I've been to many big schools around the south (SEC or not). In fact the only frat parties that are ever talked about are the frats that have a big collection of dumbasses (but cool guys). I just haven't seen any engineering fraternities that get talked up, but hey it might be different up north.

all i know is if anything is in the vicinity of our property it is destroyed (if possible) within a few months... no matter what it is.

.....

are you aware that animal house was based on a fraternity at dartmouth? in new hampshire?

and some of the biggest chapters of fraternities are at schools in the north, such as wisconsin, ohio state, and indiana?

fraternities are just as big in the north as they are in the south.

My fraternity, Phi Delta Theta, and actually, my house, was the first to go "substance free". It basically means that you can't have alcohol/drugs in the house, or on the property. .

why the fuck would you ever want to be in a frat where you can't get fucked up in the house this makes zero sense

i think greek life is pretty stupid to begin with but that just takes the cake, the best part of frats are mixers w/ the hot sororities that involves a lot of boozing

a dry frat is also what i like to call the dorms

the picture looks lumpy.. did you wetsand and tack between layers of poly?

oh yeah and

triangle.gif

my house was alcohol free for a term.. but thats because campus police didn't consider having an open bar with pour your own shots "BYOB" as we did

our campus is dry as of the past year and a half, it sucks, our fraternity used to have some amazing parties at our house (it was built in the 60's i believe and designed for parties), now we have to rent out bars and other establishments to have even remotely have the kinda parties we used to

We're at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee WI. There are also the Marquette and UW Milwaukee chapters in Milwaukee.

Each group of pledges [2 groups per year] gets assigned a project to imporve the house in some way. This was my group's project from last year, but the other 2 guys in my group fucked it up the first time. The project is funded by and decided on by alumni. We have 11 active members right now - we're a rather small and laid back chapter. Crack your jokes, kids - but every fraternity isnt the same. And for the record, the last guy who popped his collar was escorted out of the house untill he learned how to wear his shirt correctly.
