Vanster, serious question, have you ever lived in a socialist country?
The democrats are a shitty party, and also too conservative for me. What I'm cheering about is not that they are going to win, but the conservatives are going to get beat again. I'll be drinking the tears as they go on for another 4 years about how they want their country back. And then in 2020, it's going to happen again.
So what happens when it doesn't go as planned?
White PrivilegeI think being a racist old white person in the USA right now has got to be one of the most depressing situations imaginable. The only thing that could be worse is being a young racist white person (see sig).
You do realize who has been in charge last 6-7 years right or does your logic get paused when your buddies are the ones doing it?
Oh yeah, and stop being so got-damned eager to sell weapons to Arab countries and Israel. You want peace in the middle East? Then stop selling them F-16's and cluster bombs! Jesus Christ.
Anyway, I just got called back to work, and I'm going hunting tomorrow morning--but tomorrow night I'll be back--lucky all of you.
That's a great question, because for the Republicans to win the popular vote, they're going to have to stop pandering to the crazies in their base (Duck Dynasty, validuz, and zool), and do some restructuring. They're going to have to have a path to citizenship plan, they're going to have to get over their hangup with homosexuals marrying, and they're going to have to figure out a way to make their new message resonate with young people, and they've got to stop the bible beating--it isn't working for them.
They've got to stop war-mongering. We've spent more on just the Iraqi component of this war than we have on everything NASA has ever done. We're sending our kids to Iraq to drive up and down the road in a Humvee until they hit an IED and die. Halliburton might like it, but most voters don't. Offering friendly middle eastern factions humanitarian aid, and getting our kids back home would save hundreds of billions. I think most voters are sick of paying for our world cop status.
IF they did all those things, and ran on a platform of smaller government, less regulation, tax breaks, blah blah blah-- basically the general components of fiscal conservatism--I think that's a package that would sell. Use math to persuade the young voters to get on board with fiscal conservatism, use the path to citizenship to show Hispanics that the GOP has a proactive and intelligent approach compared to the Democrats plan of doing nothing.. . and yeah I really think the Republicans could very easily win the popular vote.
But we all know they're not going to do any of that, and we all know they're going to lose because of it.

the native americans have wanted this country of white men to fall for quite some time. now that the time draws nearer, they support the party that is making it all happen. duh.
i can understand his angst.
but i still say he's a fucking sore loser
Nah I know where you're going with that, and I'll answer tomorrow afternoon/night when I'm on days off. Right now I have to go sort some white privileged interns that aren't sure if a Mol is a quantity, or a sub-terrain dwelling rodent. Sometimes it really does seem like college kids are less capable every year.
