But, all of this is talking about capturing revenue for a government who has zero regard for how much they spend. US Gov is the largest employer in the world. Huge departments that are flat out useless. Somehow spending obscene amounts for military yet our technology and armament is lacking.

We need an Argentina style cut to the core. The Pentagon reigned in, The fed reigned in, politicians reigned in. Like Argentina the people in their cozy spots will cry that it is the end of the earth and also like Argentina we will come to realize it was the right choice.

How in anyone's right mind can you allow the US government whine that the citizens should "pay their fair share" when they themselves do not?

I am all for programs to help people get on their feet and we could be rocking it but instead pay for aardvark gender studies in Portugal.

This is all there is to it. Squabbling over how taxes are collected and whether the system is fair is fucking pointless when there's no accountability on the spending side.

Two key figures in former President Donald Trump’s election interference trial in Georgia will fend off challengers in their elections Tuesday, CNN projects.


Fani Willis, the Fulton County district attorney who is prosecuting Trump, is projected to win her Democratic primary rematch with attorney and author Christian Wise Smith.

And Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the former president’s case, is projected to win his nonpartisan election for Fulton County Superior Court.



The 2020 election interference case in Georgia was sidetracked for months over whether Willis should be disqualified following revelations that she had a romantic relationship with her lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade. Willis has managed to stay on, while Wade stepped down in March. An appeals court has said it will revisit the question of whether Willis should have been removed from the case.

That has left the Trump case effectively at a standstill. A legal argument before the Supreme Court over whether the former president has immunity from prosecution also remains an issue in the Georgia case and may not be decided until this summer.....

People have this fantasy that 'democracy' is a great thing, mostly because its been pounded into their heads. Democracy is literally mob rule and if the popular vote decided the POTUS, every single election would be decided by New York, Florida, and Orange County in California
