well like, i dont mind ei, i pay into it as i would any insurance, so when i collect when shit happens i wouldnt feel bad about it.

but some people work for 6mos, go on ei, and go back for another 6mos...so to these cunts, ei isnt an insurance for shit happens, its the fucking plan. these assholes should be tossed off.

to be fair i totally agree with u

i would say people who work for 6 months steady then take 6 months off can get fucked, but if you have a crew and need to get by on ei for 2 months because theres no jobs, i don't mind paying for that

EI is pretty much just like welfare/unemployment here in the US and like Canada a lot of commodity workers (oil) live off-and-on unemployment.

How is Canada with illegal immigrants and such? I would assume the US misses out on tax revenue from illegal immigrants that give fake information or work under the table. But I really have no idea how true or much of an impact that is on the revenues.

its not that big of a deal tbh, i dont think our gov even keeps track of how many illegal immigrants they think there are. i tried to google and the highest number i could find was 500,000

i can definitely imagine in a country with 10x the population this would be a pretty huge problem. 350 million ppl though thats a load of cash no matter how you slice it
