Because we rank4th (or 5th?) in world's population, yet imprison more people than any other country. By far.

being a criminal in america is almost a badge of pride, considering that being a non-criminal gives you a high chance of being complicit in immoral government activities

i mean, who can really say it's morally justified to pay taxes to a government that's going to use them to cause civilians around the world to die? 600,000 dead in Iraq already due to the war...

i have to ask the question, is it better to keep paying taxes to a morally bankrupt society, or to withhold taxes breaking the law? maybe being an expat is the only way to be legit these days

It's not just the overuse of SWAT, it's the general militarization of our police forces. Every joker with a badge has a AR-15 in their cruiser these days. Even the uniforms are changing, with "To protect and serve" slacks being swapped out for "dynamic entry" BDUs.

Over-funding through DHS + bored cops = bad news

yea well try reading what the stories are first. I'm not against it necessarily but at least read before you post as there were innocent people harmed and killed.

Because when you have a guy in full body armor shooting random people with an AK47, your little police pistol and baton isn't going to do shit.
