Since Daniel Craig announced he was standing down as James Bond, debate has raged whether the next 007 should be a woman, or black.

Now The Mail on Sunday can reveal that she will be both – thanks to the intervention of feminist TV writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

In what's been called a 'popcorn-dropping moment', British star Lashana Lynch, will be given Bond's licence to kill in the 25th movie in the franchise, currently being shot in Italy and the UK.

Craig is still Bond, he's just retired in the new movie and she's supposedly the agent who has taken over as 007.
 
This will fail spectacularly in the box office. Just like Ghostbusters 3. Rest in peace James Bond films.
 
Yea I know, it even says it in the article I know her name won't be James Bond. According to the reports they plan on calling it bond 007 though hence my thread name.

With hollywood reporting record low numbers its hard to believe they are still greenlighting these dumpster fire ideas.
 
How to kill a Sucessful Franchise.

1. Replace characters with the opposite (White = black Male = female)
2. when fans throw a shit fit because you're inexplicably tanking a franchise call them bigots racists sexists.
3. When a well established franchise tanks blame it on the misogynists and racists, not the fact that your actions caused it to happen when you ignored the fans asking and wanting more of the same before you interjected your SJW Feminazi agenda into their franchise.
 
it's a sophomoric attention grabbing "shock" tactic used by writers/directors/producers who can't come up with compelling content

the bond franchise has had plenty of bigly turds, it will survive this one
 
Well they're obviously trying to do a self contained arc with the Craig Bond films, from being promoted to 00 status in Casino Royale to his retirement 5 films later. I believe Universal just acquired distribution rights for the Bond franchise, and I'm not sure given the money on the line (Craig Bonds made $3.5B at the box office) that they'd immediately take that big of a gamble moving forward. This is probably just a test the waters situation.
 
Well, this is because the women can't draw a huge crowd, except for a handful of movies.

So they have to "give" it to the females, blacks, gays, whatever from an already established franchise.

I stopped caring about Bond years ago, didn't watch the latest movies.

Ghostbusters is another example. Hey, let's reboot with 3 females, didn't even watch for free. Not to mention Star Wars. When the SJW crap is pushed down our throats, people don't go. They see the reviews on RT and say screw it.

So much this.... Aeon Flux didn't work because it was a role made for a man given to a woman. Same with Ahsoka from star wars.... How do they not see this?
 
I mean you could literally make it a movie about a mission so serious that both 007 (Bond) and 004 (New Black Lady) have to team up, setting up a spin off franchise with a new original character set in the Bond universe.
 
The whole point of bond is that he’s a playboy and his love interests always get killed off and he’s like, oh well.

This doesn’t fit a female character and women aren’t gonna go to see an empowered female banging a bunch of effeminate nerds.
