I just got some Jagdpanzers in Theatre of War.

I was like

"Yeah, fucking Jagdpanzers!"

But then two T-34s came out from the trees and knocked them out in 30 seconds.

And I thought

"Poor Jagdpanzers "


I suspect that ToW fudges the numbers a bit RE: Soviet armor.

The last battle I fought pitted 2 StuG III Ausf. Gs, 3 PzKpfw IV Ausf. Hs, 2 PzKpfw VIs, and a couple of useless halftracks (SdKfz 251s, I think) against half a dozen T-34s and probably 10 SU-100s.

Taking out a T-34 in short order basically required the Tigers to coordinate fire on the same tank. I think it took the StuGs five minutes to bring one down from ~2000m.

I won, but I lost both StuGs and one PzKpfw IV. The remaining tanks were all immobilized from either throwing a track or crew casualties.

It seems to me that a Tiger should be more than capable of taking on a T-34 under any circumstances.

But ToW was made in Russia.
