Well, I went to British schools (4 different ones) until HS, which was American public school, and by far, the sorriest of my 21 years of school. After that shit show was over, I went to University and things were better again.

Has anyone done it your way before? I understand a certain political party tried it in Germany but it failed very very quickly. The top down economic control seemed only to succeed for a short amount of time, and predominantly because it was used for a massive war effort. The other socialist states of the period also suffered immensely through poverty and famine. Abject murderous failures.

I don’t agree education is indoctrination. But I agree with most of the intent of what you are saying. I do think many educators (including parents) go beyond teaching and tend to indoctrinate. We also tend to believe what we want to and reject what we don't (confirmation bias). I believe you think you are this well rounded experienced free thinker, but I think you let your biases affect that. This is just my opinion. You seemed to struggle with hate. I think you have the potential to be the empathetic human you want to be if you can recognize the way hate affects you.

Do you consider me a free thinker? Or just think I’m a dumb sheep? I can live with whatever opinion you have of me because I am comfortable in the way I am.

I'm not saying it's healthy or positive, but indoctrination REQUIRES learning. Humans are TAUGHT that the holocaust never happened, that Jews control the media, that evolution is bullshit, and the earth is flat.

Those things are learned, making indoctrination, by definition, absolutely education. To use your word, it is you that is assuming things, with no evidence, argument, or defense.
