TW help - social engineering

Dearest TW,

I'm staying in a hotel while doing a short term project for my employer. The wireless internet is outsourced to a local company and the speeds are great compared to most hotels internet access.

My problem is that the network is unsecured (no password) so at around 7 PM every night, when I'm returning from work, the network gets hammered and it slows to a crawl. I'm in a somewhat metropolitan area so I know people around me are logging on and probably downloading torrents and crap. I've tried calling them and asking them to secure it and they've done nothing.

Any suggestions? I'm looking for something that will justify enough risk that someone from the company will just come over and secure it. Kiddy porn? RIAA? These things might be a bit over the top but I'll go overboard if I have to.

i didnt read ur thread but considering i just invented a technique to use phenomenological nlp and it works AND IT FUCKS REALITY UP u might want to talk to me

type up a .txt document that looks like sort of an ad and says something like 'hey i happend across this open network and though I might see if you needed my security services'

put in a random hotmail address for a contact and tell the boss this popped up on your desktop
 
does that facebook hack on open wireless networks still work?

that would potentially be social engineering after all, and you'd probably scare a few people off
 
social engineering started with con artists etc

in modern times phone phreaks adapted it

pua's hackers etc


now u can just brainwash ppl outright
 
it amazes me the type of person that's allowed to work unsupervised
