The Power of NEWSGROUPS

question:

I've been using the full version of Agent for years, and to save my binaries I always right click and hit Save Attachment As. The problem is when I delete the saved file, it appears to retain the file partially anyway in the /data folder. Deleting those files fucks up the program so I have to reinstall, and I cant figure out how to make it clear that data through the program... anyone know what I'm talking about?

thanks

(edit: the command is Save All Attachments)

what the fuck, I call up tech support, and it sounded like the guy barely knew what a newsgroup was. he just told me I have to sign up at http://www.attbi.com

I cant fucking find where to sign up for it. he said it would be at the attbi.com site, I even doubled checked and asked again

ask if they offer a free news server - if the answer is yes, then next question is "what is the address of teh news server?"

is there anyway to find out your news server without calling your ISP?

if it helps i have att broadband (attbi) and i live in massachusetts

I was using XNews on my Bellsouth.net NNTP server, but I could never seem to have the time or patience to get all of the parts of the various stuff I wanted. I have over 2GB of binaries in queue right now using GrabIt, so we'll see how well it does. Got one DVD-DivX rip and a couple of large pornos just to see how well it performs. So far, so good. As a comparison, I'm also downloading a 100MB porno off of Kazaa to see how the speeds compare.
