Star Wars Battlefront

Yeah, this is like bf/cod clone but gets boring quickly.

Its not a bad game but seems like they focus on DLC. It's not good enough to keep you amused outside of multiplayer party style with friends.

Hero mode is kind of fun but not balanced.

If it was like $30 and no stupid DLC it would be fun but @$60 and requiring new content fuck no.

Frostbite is an iterative game engine.

The first iteration was used to run Bad Company 1 in 2008.

Bad Company 2 was powered by an iterative advancement of the engines development. BF3 and BF4 each used the latest evolution of the Frostbite engine at the time they were released.

It is the same with the CryEngine and Unreal Engines.

So no, Frostbite is not an old engine. The version of Frostbite that powered Bad Company 2 is merely an older iteration of the engine.

i bought it because it looks amazing on my computer 1440p @ 144hz

that being said, i wish i hadnt bought it for $60

What some enterprising person should do is rip all the assets from the game and create a build your own Star Wars adventure using the Unreal Engine.

If people can get Super Mario faithfully in the Unreal Engine surely someone could get Boba Fett in it.

bf 2142 Titan mode was best games since T1

Battlefront is p shit game, real easy, fraction of content vs decade old game...thx ea

fun for a short period, but i played the beta and don't feel i really want to pay any money, especially +dlc, for it.

The Titans from 2142 did have the most powerful ability I have seen on a controllable vehicle in a video game, if you moved it the entire server stuttered to point of being unplayable.

Admins started banning anyone that moved a Titan and eventually EA patched the game so they couldn't move because they weren't able to fix the problem.

I am enjoying it.... game play is nothing special. But the escort the AT-AT is great - who doesn't love seeing those things in game?

I am having fun even though I don't think this is a good game. Many of the maps are so imbalanced in ways that are so easy to fix. One side spawns 100m further away from objectives, one side spawns with good cover or spawns near powerups etc.

Also there are too many game modes that fragment the player base too much. For millions of units sold it can be harder than expected to find a game for a provided type/map.

Lastly none of the modes encourage caring about objectives? The difference between winning and losing is a few kills worth of pts. So just do what you want since it does not matter either way.
