I gained at least 20-30 minutes when I moved west within the eastern time zone a few months ago (Boston -> Rochester, NY). It's going to stay light until 10:00ish at the peak of summer. That'll be kinda neat.
it's really funny when you think about it
1840s or what, each town on a train ride had it's own clock tower, and it's own time, set to when the sun peaked directly over head for noon.
So you gained time throughout the day travelin west
I just find I am struggling a bit this week in regards to being tired.. This is definitely the crappy of the two.
What always blows my mind is how the TV Guide adjusts for the gained hour. They never show you the extra hour, things just... hiccup and then reset. Give me my 25 hour calendar
Setting the clocks ahead an hour always messes with me. In Fall I'm fine, but the past two nights I cannot get to sleep. I'm just wired at night which makes it hard to fall asleep (I have sleep problems anyway).
