Silent Hunter III

I'm not sure about the schnell kura, I don't think I've heard it but I'm not sure I'd remember if I did

Also I enjoyed grabbing a bunch of ww2 songs for the gramaphone
"WWII music and other stuff for your SHIII gramophone

20+ ships and no escorts. Too bad I only had TWO FUCKING TORPEDOES LEFT. GRR! And it REALLY annoys me that it's too "stormy" 95% of the time to use the deck gun. And also how I can stand up on top of the conning tower to look around, but I can't walk 5 feet and use the flak gun that's sitting right there when it's "stormy". Fuck that shit.

Actually I DID radio contacts, but I wasn't expecting any air support since we were a good 500+ km WEST of Britain :p

Will air support actually show up if you radio in though? How long does it take to show up? Are they actually effective or do they always miss like the planes that attack your uboat?

 triple (sit by me again at uva so I can defend you from assholes and get called jabba)

I'm starting to think that the propaganda about starforce is bullshit. It hasnt done anything bad to my system other than making me wait an extra 5 seconds or so to load the game.

It doesn't install services or anything like that? I don't care about having to put the cd in to play, as long as it doesn't put a service on my system (like that cdilla crap).

It is a driver that gets installed without any notice and is hidden on Windows' device manager.

gah I looked for a bit but couldnt find the thread - a guy posted on subsim how he was running the channel and radio'ing fairly frequent contact reports. He ended up being cornered by 2 DDs and a CA I think and the luftwaffe came in and rocked them enough so he could get away.

Happy times indeed

(triple you talking about the constelations ?)

Doubtful Jodo, even though I'm all for people buying sims...

But it takes a special kind of person to enjoy the cat and mouse of a ww2 subsim, and add is not that kind of special

Well, is the view always that like front viewport kind of thing or can I look at my sub all badass when I feel like it?

There is no front viewport. But you can enable external cameras if you want.

Question to the guys that have it:
How does the sonar system work? Can you actually listen to the passive sonar yourself, or is everything handled automatically?
