he was held/slandered on espionage, and charged with being a bad boy.

Haha.. charged with being a bad boy... you posted the link/pdf to his charge sheet, why not read out the specifications? Here, I'll do it for you:

Section 8 - Nature of restraint: Pre-trial confinement

Section 10 - Charge: Violation of UCMJ article 92, general orders:

1. Wrongfully taking classified materials to a housing unit
2. Wrongfully transporting classified materials without the proper locking containers or covers

^ Is that what you meant by "charged with being a bad boy?"

Those crimes alone at a special court martial (which he is going to unless it gets bumped up to a general court martial) are punishable by 1 year confinement (each) and a Bad Conduct discharge. If, after an article 32 hearing (military version of a grand jury proceeding), they decided there is enough evidence to try him at a general court martial, these two offenses are punishable by 2 years confinement (each).

The only thing the military has ever said in regards to this case was that he was under investigation of espionage. Which is the truth. Therefore, he was not slandered.

Edit: What you don't seem to grasp, no matter how many times I tell you, is that he is still being charged with these first 2 offenses in addition to the 4 new charges.
