Mount McKinley Will Be Renamed Denali

Whew, surprised he didn't name it Trayvon or Mike Brown. Guess he's saving that up for Mt. Rushmore.
 
I have been on the top of that mountain and I am fine with having it called Denali. Muldrow route. 32 days. Started at the ranger station. Included fording the river twice. Awesome adventure.

Denali is an Athabaskan word. Everybody in Alaska calls it Denali anyway, so it's no big deal, except to Ohio (where McKinley was born). Alaska has been trying to get it renamed since 1975, but Ohio always introduces new bills blocking it, lol. I expect we're going to see a lot of conservative outrage over this, 90% of whom have visited Alaska as many times as McKinley did, zero times.

I didn't read a word of it. I lived in Alaska 10 years though, and have been on the mountain 3 times, never tried to summit.
