[Mega] MAGA Super Trump Mega Thread

Hate is not a policy, and the Democrats are so devoid of policies that they have run out of even bad ones. This once-great party used to have at least some leaders with integrity. Now they are only about destroying the president and grabbing power once again. What would they do with power if they got it? Just think President Hillary Clinton and imagine how everything good that is happening would never have occurred if she occupied the White House and was naming justices to the U.S. Supreme Court.

President Trump is tougher on Russia in 18 months than Obama in eight years

http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/397212-president-trump-is-tougher-on-russia-in-18-months-than-obama-in-eight

Even though the left-wing media will never give him credit, President Trump has been far tougher on Russia than his predecessor, Barack Obama.

For starters, it was President Obama who, according to Reuters, was “caught on camera” saying to a Russian leader that he’ll have more flexibility after the election — not President Trump.

The fact is, President Trump has been quite tough on Russia.

So much so, the sanctions resemble a Russian nesting doll: one sanction of top of another, on top of another.

Just last April, the Trump administration imposed new sanctions on Russia — including strict sanctions on seven of Russia’s richest individuals and 17 top government officials for their interference in our elections.

The sanctions directly penalized President Vladimir Putin’s inner circle by prohibiting them from traveling to the United States ever again. He did this by opening a bank account in the West, preventing them from doing business with the West and prohibiting anyone else to do business on their behalf.

The sanctions were significant — among the toughest sanctions ever placed on individuals in a foreign country, with the exception of perhaps Iran and North Korea. Yet like many of Trump’s successes, it received minimal mainstream media coverage.

During his first month in office in January 2017, President Trump upheld strict sanctions to punish Russia for its unlawful 2014 annexation of Crimea. With those sanctions, the Trump administration punished more than three dozen individuals and organizations that were behind the invasion of Ukraine.

Even Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin had a hand in the actions, stating that there would be no easing of the sanctions until Russia meets its obligations under the 2015 Minsk agreement — the ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

In August 2017, Trump signed a bill slapping even more sanctions on Russia — this time specifically aimed at the country’s energy and defense industries. Congress made the legislation Trump-proof, meaning that no executive order could ever undo such sanctions; yet Trump signed it anyway.

In fact it was Trump — not Obama — who ordered the closure of Russian diplomatic properties in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New York City that appeared to be a threat to American security.

It was also President Trump who shuttered the Russian consulate in Seattle.

To be sure, Obama kicked 35 Russian diplomats out of the country after suspected election meddling by Russia, but only after Trump won the 2016 election. It is questionable whether he would have done so had Hillary Clinton succeeded in being the victor.

Furthermore, it was President Trump who led the world in expelling Russian diplomats after the Russian government was suspected of carrying out a nerve agent attack in the United Kingdom against one of their former spies. President Trump moved swiftly to expel 60 Russian diplomats from U.S. soil, and other countries followed suit by expelling dozens as well.

In addition to stringent sanctions, President Trump has also called out Russia publicly.

During a landmark speech last year in Poland, Trump lambasted Russia for using oil to hold NATO’s Eastern European countries hostage. Trump underscored the dangers of those countries’ dependence on Russian oil deliveries to keep their people warm during the winter, leading to their inability to criticize Russia the rest of the year.

The Trump administration even offered to help identify alternative energy sources for the region. Trump’s remarks on European soil was the energy industry equivalent of Reagan’s “tear down that wall” speech.

Compare all of the above actions to Obama’s milquetoast policy on Russia and outright appeasement on issues such as the “red line” that Russia blew right past in Syria. Obama’s lackluster track record with Russia is in stark contrast to the Trump administration that has already, in its first 18 months, surpassed what Obama did over a total of eight years.

Yeah. Big scary Russia with their non-existent economy and equally threatening military budget.

Putin destabilizing Western relations is his wet dream.

Thanks Donald.

So wait - since it changes so often - do you think Russia is a friend or a foe today?

I doubt any broke international law though. Did you suddenly start to think ˋhuh, Russia ans Putin aint so badˋ just because Trump had a brief meeting with him and they basically exchanged pleasantries?

aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh Fast & Furious in Mexico? I'm sure it didn't violate any international laws hmmmm

Not sure I can remember them ever being a friend.

Collaboration amongst scientists doesn't count. That's simple civility amongst intellectuals looking to better the planet.

Something your boy Trump is also adamantly against.

Wish I had any argument to that

Here i was expecting him to cut half our government agencies.....instead they have grown

I am not sure if his goal is removing the Deep State or simply controlling it

From there the rest of this all becomes suspect in my own mind

Trump pardons Oregon ranchers who sparked 2016 militia standoff

I mean a populist dictator......Meh

still sounds better than one world governance and globalism i suppose

and flooding our country with 'refugees'. Glad we're starting there because that really would be the nail in the coffin.

Where outrage?

Is Hillary Clinton taking money from the Russians? We’ll never know.

Hillary Clinton is raising money, and she’ll accept it from anywhere, including Russia.

It’s right out in the open, on her website.

If you go to HillaryClinton.com, a website now titled “The Office of Hillary Clinton,” you’ll see a page with the former secretary of state’s current projects. The first one is something called “Onward Together.”

Onward Together was formed in May 2017. Based in New York City, it’s a 501(c)(4) “social welfare” organization that describes itself as “dedicated to advancing progressive values and building a brighter future for generations to come by encouraging people to organize, get involved, and run for office.”

If you follow the link on Clinton’s website to OnwardTogether.org, you’ll see a cheerful video featuring Clinton with many of the activists her organization is supporting. If you click to donate, the first thing the site wants to know is what country you’re in.

Unlike U.S. political campaign committees, which are regulated by the Federal Election Commission, 501(c)(4) organizations can accept donations from foreign countries. It appears from its website that Onward Together will accept money from anywhere, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, and even from the Russian Federation. The site states that individuals who contribute must be U.S. citizens or “lawfully admitted” permanent residents, but it doesn’t mention any limitation on contributions from foreign governments, companies or organizations.

You’d think, given the thunderous outrage Democrats have expressed over unproven allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to interfere in the U.S. election, that Hillary Clinton would not be willing to accept money from foreign countries, including Russia, to spend on “encouraging people to organize, get involved, and run for office.”

But there it is, right on the website.

Has Russia given money to Onward Together?

We’ll never know. Unlike a political campaign committee, a 501(c)(4) is not required to make its donors public.

Hypothetically, a foreign government could donate to a politically oriented 501(c)(4) and finance a campaign of marches, protests and resistance designed to sow dissension in the United States and even undermine the U.S. government from abroad.

A 501(c)(4) organization can also make donations to a SuperPAC, which can spend money on campaigns. The SuperPAC must disclose the donation but not the names of the donors behind it. They stay secret. Coincidentally, there’s also an Onward Together PAC.

Secretive foreign donations have been an issue in the past for Hillary Clinton. It’s hard to argue with former President Barack Obama, who insisted that the Clintons sign a unique ethics agreement before he would nominate Mrs. Clinton to be secretary of state. The agreement required the Clinton Foundation to disclose its donors and banned new donations from foreign countries. It also required the former president to get White House approval for his paid speaking engagements.

It was then that Mrs. Clinton set up a private email server, concealing her communications from the prying eyes of government officials and Freedom of Information Act requests.

And now she has a “project” with secret donors.

Clinton and other politicians who claim to be concerned about foreign interference in U.S. elections should state unequivocally that they will not raise or accept money from foreign countries for use in U.S. politics, whether for advertising, organizing, protesting, mobilizing, recruiting candidates or campaigning.

Maybe former President Obama would like to lead the charge on this. He was one of the first to spot the problem.
