After the first time, I could see going a second time.
Even a band could have a bad night.
After 2 for 2 on the sucking... not sure I would go back for 3rds, but perhaps you are a very forgiving soul.

As for the 4th time... yeah... I guess one could say you knew what to expect.
 
I had the unfortunate luck to see them headline for that Nine Inch Nails tour. They had some hits back in the nineties, but seeing them live is like watching Pandora. FUCKING BORING!
 
I'm seeing Radiohead tonight, and they will be as amazing as I saw them last October at the Roseland Ballroom. :D
 
Coincidentally, I grabbed their greatest hits album yesterday. There are only three songs I like on the album. I find the rest of them annoying on the ears.

Also, I just bought a new shotgun!
 
That second one looks like Tehvul. You saw Tehvul live?

And Jane's has always sucked. They had a good album at the time, I thought, but none of it was timeless.
 
Janes is horrible live but the worst show i've seen (from produced music to live) is Soundgarden. It was like watching a townie cover band.
 
Jane's Addiction is fucking horrible. I was lucky to never see them live considering their recorded music is shit, live would be like putting a cat in heat with huge claws over a football field horizontal chalkboard standing over it with an airhorn. Yep that would even sound better
 
I was happy Jane's was the last band performing at Lollapalooza (Distillers, Queens, Audioslave, etc) because they were, indeed, terrible.

Weird, I thought Soundgarden was great live back in the day. The one I thought sucked balls live was Rob Zombie.

I have seen Soundgarden easily 15-16 times, in a span of 20 years, and I have only seen them put on a bad show one time. I've seen them on stage at a small club all the way up to arenas. Sucks that you happened to see them on a bad night, but a handful of their shows are some the best I have ever seen. Granted, that most of that was a long time ago, but I was at their first show in Seattle on their "reunion" tour and it was fucking awesome as well.
 
i saw two shows both in the late 90s and they were equally horrible. Terrible sound, CC sounded like he swallowed a mouthful of broken glass before he went on stage. Uninspired performances for the whole band, etc...I love their recorded stuff but have no desire to ever see them again.

That being said, I've been to 30+ pearl jam shows now and it's easily the best live performance you could ever see if you like grunge/alternative. Stone Temple Pilots used to be fantastic as well. Hell even the new Alice in Chains isn't that bad.

I love Jane's Addiction. Saw them twice, once at a small club that was great, the other at Lollapalooza...forgettable. One of my favorite bands though.
 
For those of you criticizing me for having seen them 4 times... Jane's plays a lot of festivals. So if you go to a festival to see the other bands you inevitably see Jane's again.

After the second time I don't watch the whole show. I wait to see if they were as shitty as I remember and then leave.
