When I was young(er) - like, mid 90s maybe, and I used AOL chat when AOL was fairly new 
we used to get a warning when joining American chatrooms that basically said 'American users are considerably more sensitive about bad language and graphic imagery, please modify your behaviour while using these rooms appropriately'.
So I spammed naughty lyrics in wavy black and red writing and lold all the way to the bank.

the only thing similar to the australian faggotry in the UK was Video nasty in the 80s/90s, and although looking back at that stuff most of it is pretty tame, some of that stuff was banned for a reason
apart from that, we're p coo w/ showing any and everything that gets past the US censors, and in some areas more (we just love our homo ken russell type shit)
as for urop though, there's a reason that a lot of american porno films are shot in germany or czech/slovakia, and if you have a gander at that list of 'video nasties' you'll see that a lot of them are european
