Downloading torrents on iPad.

Any suggestions? I've looked at the torrific.com method but that site is now shut down.

I'd rather not jailbreak.

Tying to watch movies, tv shows etc on iPad is proving to be a pain in the ass.

No 5.1 is jailbreak yet. I think they have a working one for a lot of the devices but still trying to get all the apple products working before releasing.

how do you even view non quicktime files anyway on ipad? Or did I hear wrong and they can play any file format.

I know I tried many moons ago to put movie files on my iTouch but it proved a major pain the but because I had to convert them to *.mov

Flexplayer for ios is free and plays pretty much anything. Only drawback is that you still need to connect the device to a pc to copy the vids over.

Or you can use airvideo for ios to steam eveything from a pc to an ios device.

I just download a media player App (VLC etc) to the iPad, download the movie files to my computer and add them to iTunes, then sync. Easy Peazy.

I dont know how hard/easy it is to download naughty files directly to the iPad, but it is super easy to download them to the PC, move the files to iTunes, then sync.

I think I just said the exact same thing twice.

I didnt look it up to verify, but are you sure the VLC app doesnt play mkv? Pretty sure it does.
