Do people still use ICQ?

Someone mentioned that in IRC earlier.

It took me all day to figure out what my number was, and then find a way to extract my password from the trillian files (which are ancient) since there was no email set for it.
My list is full of old school tribes people; it almost brings a tear to my eye.
Do people still use this? Has it become some sort of underground dating service (from the website, it almost looks like it)?
Will I get extra e-cool points if I start using this again? WILL IT BRING BACK THE NINETIES?

Man this takes me back.
I feel old(ish).

there are 2 people that i still talk to on icq. they refuse to get AIM or use FB

they can usually be reached via txtmsg easier.

IM choices were definitely region based.

Canada loved the fuck out of MSN, so did some azns

Americans loved AIM. go figure.

ICQ is a popular instant messaging computer program, which was first developed by the Israeli company Mirabilis, now owned by Time Warner's AOL subsidiary

ICQ was a big time waster. There's no way to end the conversation once it starts. It's like typing out an entire thread if the other person keeps asking questions.
