..and as we can all guess, homelessness didn't go down, it went up.

Democrats want to pull the bleeding heart tactics and say they need money to do x,y, and z but when they do it, it is a full on waste.

So what happens next? They ask for more because "this time" they will for sure combat homelessness!

It's not that conservatives are heartless and don't care about people, it's just that any program the government does is a bloated pile of shit and it's wasted spending.

When your society's #1 value is money, there is no incentive to end homelessness. You can just milk the taxpayer infinitely with various NGOs.
The solution to homelessness is known and has been done in many places, it's not some arcane knowledge. Just build homes and give them to people for them to live in.

Put them in camps. Same shit solution but cheaper and faster.

Physical shelter (or lack of) is not the cause or solution to their problem.

"Homelessness" is an active choice for most of these street people...if they wanted a place to stay, they could have one.

Chicago tried this for many years. Look up Caprini Green and the Robert Taylor Homes.

This but these cities allow them to infiltrate every where, shitting on the streets etc. I am with amRam. You get 2 choices. 1 Go to the homeless shelter located outside the city, or 2 you get the fuck out of the city.

You are assuming that giving people a home will solve it and it will not. A vast majority are drug users and the other being mental health patients. It should be something like an old military base converted into a huge camp. Like i said above they go there and get cleaned up or they get the fuck out of the city. Either way,, cities are free of that mess.

Neither of those has anything to do with what I wrote. Chicago's problem is first capitalists use it as a base for a lot of jobs, then pull the rug out from underneath everyone and relocate to China for even cheaper slave labor.

It's solved it in Finland. Mentally ill people ought to be in asylums, but your former god Ronald Reagan put an end to those.

US is not Finland and you should really stop trying to compare anything that worked there, here. There are a huge amount of differences and the differences in culture/societal landscapes. The sheer population alone makes that near impossible.

What does the population alone change? Can you list some of these differences that make it so that a home built for a homeless person does not help end homelessness?

absent simps for state control

absent wonders why California can't solve homelessness

Send Finland the 2 million plus illegals that have been let into this country over the past few years and see how well they deal with it.

When it gets cold here the homeless go to SF LA or Miami. In Finland they go to shelters.

Actually
Keep the illegals and send over all our homeless citizens,
because Finland has solved homelessness.

Can you list some of the reasons that the homes built for homeless people in Chicago does not help end homelessness. Bonus points if you can explain why drugs and violent crime in those areas skyrocketed. Bonus bonus points if you can explain why the people who lived there destroyed the buildings they lived in and things got so bad the Chicago House Authority tore them down.

Oh and also explain why crime in areas that allow Section 8 housing skyrockets as well.

Seattle has also spent on average 2 billion dollars a year. Has done nothing but line the pockets of grifters setting up bullshit not for profit programs to bilk taxpayers out of their money.
