VOTE YES ON PROP 36
Proposition 35 is another useless set of mandatory minimum sentences that are going to target two-bit pimps and prostitutes way more often than it will target big time sex trafficking rings. This is just going to further crowd our prisons and waste taxpayer money. Also, these are already crimes we have laws for. There is no need to muddy the waters with a poorly written and ambiguous prop.
Proposition 36 is a great start at picking away at the "War on Drugs" bullshit that is causing the US major harm every year. These changes will not release dangerous criminals out onto the streets. These changes will save our state money. There is no reason to be putting non violent criminals into prison for the amount of time that we are. As Californians we may not have an opportunity to affect the outcome of the presidential election, but we have a chance to get these two right!
