[Alcohol] Stocking the Wet Bar

OK, so I've bought a place that has two finished rooms in the basement. One will include my home theater/gaming setup, 180G reef, and a wet bar soon. Now, I hardly drink much besides beers and wines, so what products will go well with keeping the bar only 4-6' long? I will add a minifridge under it and a small sink with filtered water. I'm aiming for 1 or 2 different brands of each of the basics. Not outlandishly expensive; something that us working class can afford without six-figure incomes. Big names are great and obvious choices, but I'd like suggestions that'll provide a little difference from what people are used to seeing.

Some I recently tried are Scorpion Silver Mezcal, DH Krahn Gin, and Inner Circle Rum, which I plan on using at first. Other options would be nice, as well as things like whiskey, tequila, vodka, brandy, etc.

you could just save everyone the trouble and put up a sign saying "im trying as hard as i can to be a trendy pretentious fag but i had to ask other people to help me out because i can't become one on my own"

What are you cash constraints? Will you be looking to mainly stock middle or top shelf liquors for mix drinks? What are your alcohols of choice? Budget and personal preference are pretty important considerations.

So any one who keeps liquor in a BAR in their house is a trendy fag now?

Good to know.

since i started making adult money I buy a random fifth anytime i go to the store.

I dont even drink much anymore but I have a nice collection doing it

Boy, MeSlayer I'm glad you exist to remind us that we should ask around for other good ideas.

Lineage, for starter's I'm expecting to top off around $50 a bottle or so. I've had expensive wines before but breaking them open is more of a symbolic thing. I just don't want utter crap from the bottom shelf, ya know? I'm looking to get into mixed drinks, sick of a bottle of beer every day! I like drinks with vodka and rum when I go out and would like to open my choices a bit more with some knowledge.

no just the ones that are trying to be "different" than all those other regular people

lets have a trendiest home-bar contest!

YES

(I'm just having fun! come on)

and I do what godfather does.

Go out and buy 6-8 bottles to start you off then just pick something random up every week or two until you have a really good collection. It never goes bad and its always nice to have a variety.

You sir may be an alcoholic.

Then again the only thing that seems excessive is the fruit and fruit juice since it goes bad.
