there are plenty of intelligent people who believe in creationism. the implication of your statement is to somehow bolster your own intelligence by either disassociation with people you view as ignorant, or by association with people you believe are intelligent. in either case, you're taking credit for the research/observations of the actually intelligent people (the scientists who actually study these questions) and trying to somehow pass it off as your own.
the main reason i think it's fucking stupid is because it's already established, especially on these forums, that there are some vehement creationists who are close-minded. thanks for your wonderful addition to this ongoing discussion.

stop all the large generalizations i know i'm arguing semantics but creationism doesn't mean the universe is 6,000 years old. rather, i mean it to be in line with the wiki definition "Creationism is the belief that humanity, life, the Earth, and the universe were created in their original form by a deity (often the Abrahamic God of Judaism, Christianity and Islam) or deities." So, you can infer that the teaching of the Bible suggests 6,000 years old, but I think creationism is more relevantly discussing the belief that the universe was created by a supreme being.
