Where the fuck is the Starfield Thread?

I swear I cycle through the same games every couple of years

AOE2
Homeworld
Tribes
Quake
CS
PUBG
Civ 4/5
wow

Everything else has been shit

I've been playing a lot of Rainbow Six Siege lately with my gaming buds, TD, Texas Dragon, Coombz, and sometimes Scooby. Just seems there are no good multiplayer games out at all. :(

im kind of curious about ESO myself... feels like one of those under the radar MMOs blocked out by wow and ff14 hype.

Bethesda makes shitty open world games with 1 hour of content looped 300 times on a terribly outdated engine.

The last one I would say I got 'through most of the game' was FO3 and I wouldn't say it was a great experience.

I don't understand how companies like Bethesda, Blizzard, EA or Ubisoft stay afloat with the same shit games on repeat for decades.

with marketing budgets larger than dev costs and an abundanc of normies that swallow it all up.

theres also the fact that some of these games used to be great b4 these jewcos swallowed them up... so it takes a while for that brand to die down with the audience. i mean we still have blizzard fanbois who get stoke on the next diablo

I've been enjoying Escape from Tarkov a lot. Also Homeworld 3 has been delayed to 2023, but it's coming!

im still debating getting a regular C2 instead of this... the details are light on this monitor, but it may have alot of TV shit removed, and i want a do-it-all display... cuz teh female took over the actual tv :(... and ultimately the panel should be the same.

theres also the concern of a huge 48" on a desk, but i rationalize it as being able to scale down when im upclose by just having shit in a smaller window. also have a side desk where i keep my mouse/arm so i can put kb on lap and roll back

whats your setup? deep desk?

deep desk, monitor is about 2.5-3 feet away from my face, and yes, you can use it for basically 4 1080p monitors too, which is what i do while working, or most the time, two long half screen monitors.

Bethesda is not the company it once was. That said if it's a new IP I'd expect them just delay it as long as possible since new IPs tend to be a big bet. But who knows how much that could make up for?

The trailer had nothing exciting. I'd expect a lot of the appeal doing with lore and exploration and there was not all that much in the trailer. I'll wait and see.

I think graphically Starfield looked nice in some parts, but I'm sure it'll disappoint so I'm not looking forward to it that much. Let 'em patch it for another year after release.

Nmag if you like Skyrim style RPG's maybe you like this one as well and haven't played it yet:

Watching now while I d/l Black Desert Online. I might try it out. This BDO is only $10 investment to try out. I like Mack's reviews he has similar background and taste/thoughts. Big fan.

He says BDO is good. Looks fun. I can cope with the pallet and the mob markers etc. Premium price atm so added to wishlist. For me these rpg's can feel a bit empty after a few months when so used to mmorpgs. Even witcher3 kind of felt alone after being hooked into ESO. Kind of swing from one to the other over time.

Did you ever play Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor?
That was a fun single player game. A bit simplistic but not too bad.

You could always embrace the dark side and get Kingdoms of Amalur - Reckoning. Curt Schilling would probably come back to post, just to say thanks :)

I never made it far in kingdoms of amalur.

dunno why, in theory the concept should appeal to me.

Mack is the only reviewer anywhere on the internet that I trust.
