It's possible that your white Male friends are living well and dont have any major political axes to grind and so they're displaying empathy and putting the needs of others on important topics above inconsequential and meaningless improvements to their own lives
Its not that they don't have political axes to grind. Its that they are too dumb to prioritize important issues properly, on account of "moral issues" being intentionally designed as political wedges for the uninformed masses. Its especially bewildering to see abortion and gay rights being taken up as token political causes in Canada, of all places.

Republicans and democrats should have burned it down long ago! At least the democrats are brave enough to stand up for their idiotic ideas. there is no sizeable political support in canada to repeal any abortion or sexual orientation shit.
