Who needs software exploits when you can hide secret circuits among the billions of transistors that make up a modern SoC complete with backdoors and even antennas on non wireless capable chips.

The only way you get their attention is to shock them. Unfortunately as shown by post 9/11, it's sometimes better when they stay asleep but that's the risk. Something needs to shock them into action.
