Trump stole nuclear classified documents

i love watching idiots be totally happy that a potus that was actually helping the country gets torn apart, while the fuckstick in office is literally destroying the country

Depends if documents were properly stored as fool mentioned. Hillary had classified documents on a personal server that didn’t comply with comsec.

I probably spoke my opinion too soon (as I tend to do), there is a lot I do not know. But I have questions

1. Does an ex-president retain their clearance after leaving office?
2. Do they still have a need to know with respect to certain areas like the documents he had possession of?
3. Do they retain proper storage for such after leaving office?

Trump is such a wildcard it really could go many different ways.

Guess time may tell

1. Presidents don't really have a "clearance" as they exist above them. The executive branch decides what is or is not classified. Typically as a curtesy ex presidents are granted pseudo clearances, in the sense that new presidents often ask them for advice on how to handle delicate matters of state, trusted because they've obviously been entitled to such secrets before.

2. Not really, there's no real good reason for him to maintain these documents unless it's just an administrative mistake or unless he's authorized to consult on something specific (unlikely with Trump).

3. There's not a real reason to dismantle a secure facility once it's built, especially if he is running again and could potentially win. You'd need to rebuild it anyway.

Anybody here want to admit they trust ByeDone, or whoever is calling the shots? The FEDs? You trust the FEDs?

Not everyone drinks the orange koolaid. I agree Biden is destroying the country. But Trump did a pretty good job dividing America which played right into the 2 parties hands.

Divide and conquer.

The establishment on both sides didn't see Trump coming and hate him for it. They fear this the most. An outsider waltzing in and winning. They cannot deal with the idea that citizens can call the shots. They will do anything to eliminate our choices and hand us shit like "Hillary vs Jeb Bush" after making deals out of our view.

Well again I don't know the exact circumstances here, but unless you can tell me that he was storing them in an unsecure basement you're rampantly speculating in a manner that suits your argument. If the documents were classified during his presidency, and have been in his possession the whole time (so to speak), what danger does it pose for him to be able to read without his Presidential access a document he already read when he had his Presidential access? If they are in a secure facility, there's minimal risk to the documents leaking. Hence the lack of urgency.

Help me understand then, this is where I'm coming from - hes a private citizen who had boxes of top secret information at his house that they just took back. Being the president is a totally different job than mine, but usually I have to give back a laptop or whatever when I leave a job. having them at his house is probably fine when hes president, cuz anywhere he spends lots of time at essentially becomes a government building, but it's not anymore. Maybe it is? I'd be curious to know. I know you have said it was a secure facility, but I dont really know what that means. Is there government agents on staff watching it? Is it secured with government key fobs or whatever, is it monitored by any government agency still? If that's the case then sure I can buy it probably wasnt a big deal
