i think lix, dutch, chump, anemix are the top 4 that come to my mind

snow had a terp bypass and happymod and never had competitive success so i wouldn't count him
 
because tribe is such a team orientated game, my list is based on what if these dudes had to all play against goats as well. anyone can look great in a pu or smashing regular cappers/capping on bad stand d/etc. I also didn't get to play much with some of these dudes but will list just cuz other goats say they are goat. plus some dudes are goat at multiple positions but I won't include them in multiple pos, but only in pos i believe they are best.

chase: chump/dutch - both had periods of time of dominating decent offenses for their times

as far as routed capper, I'd go with darkforce/opsayo. both are hard to stop/hard to hit and know tons of routes. opsayo may not know every map but if he had to play them he would.

spontaneous capper gotta be elixir/anemix - both can kill like a chaser and make huge plays. and they will both make the best play even if its just touching the flag to get it off the stand. they wont always go 4 the kill which is sometimes best.

LO: nonreg hands down. just a very aware player who always knows whats the best thing to do. egrab/kill escort/kill capper/camp he does it all like no other.

home d: dawar/snakes. I didn't play much with either but I've heard a lot about them. I watched DaWar a lot before I started getting picked in pu's. I think he was a great home d that did what the team needed him to do. Being on vent with smart tribes players changes things so much. the game become easier in a way...at least some of the small things anyways. idk how great he was in pu's but from what I've heard he was an attack dog in matches and that's all that matters. I've only seen 1 demos of snakes, so I can only reverberate what Anemix has told me. Dude was an escort heavy home D that was great @ holding/passing/catching. Also p good on the stand.

but really they are so many dudes that I didn't name that could be thrown on a team and make ggs against these guys. copa/dare/snow/darksoul/fett/thorin/rufus/rtcll/carnova/masterace/tsi/whoever i am missing

i mean thorin is a bossdawg capper no lie. ace/tsi/rufus chased for many #1 teams. snow/dare/copa/rtcll have insane skill @ this game. dudes can play any mod and dominate it. fett/ds/carnova don't get much love but once again played for some nasty teams. I think sometimes we don't realize how important a smart tribes player can be. ppl arent going to notice thorin and fett cuz they dont kill much. but @ end of map when they have 3 caps/lots of flag time and clutch grabs, they know they had just as big of an impact as the chaser with 2800 rating and 33 cks. you know?
 
I made lt chasing relevant, i remember boat vs tm

before then i dont think you could take chase real serious, and it became apparent in the stupid pickup games

but anyway: caps - darksoul aweaome at faking me out and forcing me to find you

lix - very aware in every part of the game, when i was on you and youd know i was vulnerable you played it right

anemix - great route runner but could never kill me

nonreg - probably the only guy who could regularly get me off my spot on ld

chump - became close to my level but he couldnt beat me at bejeweled

then we have guys like fett and jap, it was fun and so was the competition for some time
 
In response to Zoo's rep, you're right about anemix, he will run some long routes as well as oddball routes that are tricky to catch. On dx he just runs to the flag though.(which everyone does) but I feel like he plays better in this role rather than route runner. Tbch opsayo is more of a spontaneous capper than anemix but opsayo is really good with the flag in his hands. I've always held the flag better with opsayo than anemix, mainly due to a difference in tribe philosophy. So I'd rather have the flag with opsayo and anemix doing the dirty work. All personal opinion though.
 
I agree now - but not in LT prime. iirc opsayo wasn't amazing then - i dont even recall how active (i wasnt active then obv and i suck/cheat regardless so i dont remember it all), but he's brilliant now (for the last few years).
 
He didn't play in the prime but you can't deny skill/awareness. If opsayo lived in Illinois during LT prime, you have talented gamer/smart dude/16 ping. No way he doesn't dominate. It's ludicrous logic 2 say otherwise.

i think df anemix and lix had distinctly different styles

i never really played with darksoul enough or seen enough demos to really know what he played like
 
Darkforce was the best capper but wasn't in a group of pu dicksuckers of later era of tribes

Chumps Bitch lost to fucking CDC 3 times and CDC roster at that time was me, kehlp, Rufus, PR and diskwith johnnyfast capping

Basically a scrub roster of smurfs that didn't even have a real capper and cgel whored all map

Money$hot and zombie on that team .::. Were absolutely sick but were early era

My point expand your minds outside of your friends of the last 2 years

Opsayo didn't even plat with top early era players nor did stork etc
