The tipping thread to end all tipping threads

If you guys could go ahead and start tipping EMTs and Paramedics that would be great.

.15% of your total worth factored against the seriousness of your ailment, ridiculous factors (your fat ass, or your 5th story apartment with no elevator), inappropriateness of your timing or behavior

would be about right

Tipping According to Teratos:

  1. Start at 10%
  2. +5% if waitress; -5% if waiter
  3. +5% if waitress is attractive; -5% if waitress is not attractive
  4. +5% if attractive waitress is flirty; -5% if attractive waitress is not flirty
  5. +5% for great service; -5% for poor service
  6. -5% because it's the right thing to do
  7. For free dessert consider doubling tip up to cost of dessert or 45% max

Someone turn this into a flowchart.

Or in the rest of the world where a decent minimum wage is paid ... nothing.

So simple.

You're now chatting with a random stranger. Say hi!
Official messages from Omegle will not be sent with the label 'Stranger:'. Strangers claiming to represent Omegle are lying.
You: hey
Stranger: heey
You: I've got a question
Stranger: ok
You: how much should I be tipping my coke dealer?
Stranger: well i dont give mine tips
Stranger: because he's my teacher and all
You: ahh
You: i see
Stranger: yup
You: i feel that you'd get better quality stuff if you tipped him
You: I've been tipping about 10%, but I was wondering if that was too little
Stranger: eh
Stranger: depends on how much u buy

Hmm, I'll keep searching for an answer

most european countries/canada/Japan have min wages of about $8-$10/hour. The US has a min wage of $7.25/hr (some states have higher ones).

Doesn't seem that different...

In some states, waiters/waitresses can be paid less than minimum wage if they are assumed to make a lot from tips. However, if their total income is less than min wage, their employer is required to supplement it to at least min wage. So no one is paid less than min wage.

Though its true that Australia has a relatively high minimum wage
