Anyway I play as Marth but I also like playing as Ice Climbers. They're fun b/c there's almost no real strategy needed other than "swing your hammers wildly". I know, they do have a few useful moves other than down-A (my fav) but it's always fun to call the pink one a dirty whore when she falls down a hole for no good reason.
i have seen some really mean ice climber tricks though... People are able to do things to get them to work separately.. like have one do the frost breath while the other walks up and forward smashes. One throws up while the other jumps and spikes them back down into another grab.. crazy stuff. There's a really big gap between beginner (walk around smashing) and advanced with them though..

can some one explain to me how the FUCK captain falcon is a good character?
i play this game a shit load and i have always thought that he was a flawed character.
falcon is a great rushdown character. He's incredibly fast, but he's one of the hardest to actually use well. You really have to be able to short hop and L-cancel consistently to do well with him.

jesus i never knew SSB:M was so big that they has consesus top players...
why do so many people prefer the n64 version?
I think Ken has actually gotten paid just to show up at tournaments...
some people prefer the 64 version either just because they played it first and dislike change, or because in 64 it's more possible to string together huge unbreakable combos. 64 is often a faster game, but melee has more depth to it I think.

jotun - Fox has an infinite ground juggle? Wow, now I have to go look for a video of that. I can't really use Fox too well, he's too fast, I can hardly control him.
Fox is generally considered the hardest character to use well, followed by C Falcon.
here's a video of his ground infinite...

you need a flat area with decent width and it doesn't work against characters with low traction (luigi, marth). It's easiest against Link because he gets knocked back the least by fox's reflector.
short hop > drill kick > L cancel > reflector > wavedash out of reflector > repeat
(wavedash = jump then quickly air dodge at an angle into the ground)
(L cancel = while doing an aerial attack, hit L, R, or Z just before landing on the ground to reduce the lag after landing during the attack)
it's really hard to wavedash out of the reflector that fast consistently, and it's tricky to turn it around to avoid pushing them off the stage. I can't even come close to doing it..
