NGFM, clean your computer intake filter

Yep, although IceGiant's copper cooler should outperform most AIO's.

Our server room has it's own dedicated AC unit with a backup system. Heat does bad things to computers, but isn't usually a problem for consumer gear. Running the AC on kill more is about keeping the room cool with a 900 watt heater going. Some hardcore gamers are even running a grow tent and exhaust for their system to keep the room cooler.
Funny you should mention that. I always custom water-cool my systems, but what I do now is that I piped it through the wall to radiate the heat into the attic. Keeps my office cool if/when I'm gaming which I don't really do anymore.

i just built a beowulf cluster of computer fans to power my house when the cold wind blows

I just blew out a small chiengora sweater, it was time.

Yes, I will. I'll unplug the power supply when cleaning the cases. My main machine has not died from blowing air and spinning up the fans. Need to back up my machines as well, which involves cloning the C and storage drive to the extra drives in the case.

I back up to an eternal hard drive. Then I think "I need to bury it in the backyard so if the house burns down all the pron is not lost".

However, I haven't got a good plan on how to do this. I thought... about a watertight lockbox box buried in the ground, anchored to concrete with some mulch over the top to hide it. Then I think about moisture in there and maybe it could be put inside a plastic food container with some of those moisture packs that shoes come with. I'm not uploading terabytes to the cloud, the cloud will fall out of the sky.

What is the solution here?

My computer room has 2 AC vents blowing cold air. My place had an AC vent at the top of the stairs, so I bought more duct from HD and ran it to my computer room. My air handler is at the top of the stairs next to the computer room. I put a hole in the wall with a return to the air handler, removing the hot air from the room.

As for backing up a pron collection, it's no longer needed. There's free sites like Beeg where you can watch videos. In the old days, people would have a collection of pictures and videos, but that takes up a bunch of space. Besides, you'll get tired of looking at the same videos over and over. It can all be done on your phone, favorite videos in private mode.

As for backups, Replication is the key. Buy multiple USB drives, plus an extra drive in the case. Rotate your backups, take one to work or kid's place. No need to go through all this stuff to hide the drive under ground. I back up my storage drive using Beyond Compare 4. I back up my C drive using Acronis True Image. I have 4 USB drives and one goes to my daughter's place where I can leave it.

Thanks but not just porn it's lots of captured video images music files nuke and other stuff. I'm gonna concrete a small lock box into the ground. Copies of videos of the kids growing up were issued to their grandparents.

Pelican Cases

Or just print everything out hardcopy and put in lever arch binders, you can store these in a safety deposit box at the bank.

I'll be needing more storage soon, especially when I find neat stuff like this:
Flashpoint Archive
Flashpoint Archive is a community effort to preserve games and animations from the web.
Internet history and culture is important, and the web is evolving at such a rapid pace that what might be commonplace today could be obselete tomorrow. This project is dedicated to preserving as many experiences from these platforms as possible, so that they aren't lost to time. Since December 2017, over 170,000 games and animations have been preserved across more than a hundred browser plugins and web technologies.
Anyone have the Musashi flash goodies? We need to get it archived.

It's time Robert. Clean your computer intake filter. I pulled mine apart to put another 32g ram stick in, and there was enough fur to make another cat.
