this whole thing is a lesson in fanboism and how every good reputation has a dark side that fanbois seem to ignore. in this case robert's history where he failed to deliver on privateer after years of delays, to the point microsoft had to buy it out and finish themselves... this was the star citizen of its time.
probably some other bad history too, but the loyalists will ignore all that and throw all their $$$ at game dev jesus... and these cultists are who roberts assigned to run the star citizen community, which is effectively run as a cult, where any naysayers are shunned+bant. ofc he doesnt have to pay them either, its the other way around.
