A wall without someone watching it is stupid as holy fuck.

Give me a billion $ and with 100 million would buy a bunch of drones with FLIR to alert border patrol on incoming illegal crossings. Hire a hundred people along the border states for 10-20 million to run the drone program, could add solar powered sensors etc for say another 100 million (loose hypothetical) and pocket 600 or 700 hundred million. This from someone who is currently not even in that industry..

So what company does Chump have lined to make him money off this wall?
 
So arrest them and process them instead of keeping them out in the first place.. drones are great for catching them.. there is a shit load of them though. Fences slow them way the fuck down.. couple that with drones and you have a secured border

yep

people are fucking stupid if they don't think walls work. it's the basic building block of any good secure border.

and besides, if they truly think a wall won't work, then why don't they let trump build it, and if it doesn't work they can hold it over his head. :shrug:
 
Obviously there are some areas that need some fencing but not really a wall, they tunnel through that anyway. fences or walls in the remote areas don't do much though, what it may slow a person down for 2-5 minutes or less, but since so remote response time is fail..
 
because the stupid fuck said Mexico would pay for it!! Which is horseshit. I don't want to pay for fagboys wall, and it wouldnt matter who wanted it dems, repubs, nazis, etc..

if you don't like it, why don't you use all those guns and military gear to do something about it?

So - if I was in charge of border security - it would go something like this.

1) Post the rules for entry
2) Post the punishment for disregarding the rules.
3) Make those rules strict -very strict with an escalation in severity for repeat offenders
4) Involve the countries that have the most offenders in helping to get people to follow the rules and apply the punishment
5) Stick to the rules so people don't think you are a joke
6) Escalate the controls as needed to force people into following the rules

Done.

Pretty fucking easy.
We would not need a wall from sea-to-shining-sea if we used the law correctly in a unified manner.

Sure why not let the ppl decide, pay for it with a payroll tax labled "Trumps wall that Mexico will pay for" right there with social security taxes etc.
