ive only recently started browsing reddit and holy fuck the main page is full of winners
I’m quite possibly the only registered democrat in my area. They change my polling location every election so now it’s a 21 mile round trip from my home. They’ll never suppress my vote.
does this guy really think
1) he's the only democrat in any "area" (county? town?) in a state as populated as alabama
2) they specifically target him to change his polling location
how does this make the front page especially a fellow as derpy as him

you become so self absorbed and self centered that your only real thoughts or concerns with the outside world (that don't involve just you) is in trying to force interact with other nut jobs just like you who are trying to do the exact same thing
suffer from the exact same set of problems and symptoms
I do believe that this is why they close their eyes when talking or thinking about anything
they need to make sure they don't let the outside world confuse them or distract them

i truly feel retarded ive only used reddit for my video games ive played and have seen a couple askreddits that floated through my facebook but the main page looks like absolute filth minus a couple funny memes. what is the appeal? so many posts 'lets get this to the front page!' whether left wing (predominately) or right wing i dont think ive learned a single thing reading nor felt like ive coherently understood someone else's point of view through reddit as a medium of idea exchange. edit - i take that back a few interesting historical anecdotes have been learned but i dont see a platform for actual intellectual discourse just shilling

For the most part, yes. It's been documented in several studies that leftists are more likely to be censorial on social media, so a site like Reddit where displayed content is based on an upvote/downvote system is almost unquestionably going to slant left. Right leaners don't care about downvoting as much, left leaners will downvote anything that disagrees with their world view, even if it's a reasonable statement.
It's also why they were so shocked in 2016. They created a nice little echo chamber dominated by european high school women and convinced themselves it was representative of America.
