We all had fun with it in the past.

Back in T1 a team could have a shitload of losses but still be considered a top team. Now when a team gets a couple losses they break up and most likely leave the game (blaming the game). We seek perfection that is unattainable.

Are you going to say this when there's only a total of 10 people playing T2 too?Arcanox said:I'm spending my time on the Renwerx team trying to come out with a brand new game thats free for all to play. Now I don't understand why everyone says we should go ahead and hire a developer to do the same goddam thing.
Everyone in TT needs to stop trying to lead thier own little revolution since T:V didn't do it for them. Everyone in TT should pick up T1/T2C even if it's old. IMO, it's not a bad idea because I know you guys aren't going to accomplish shit by bickering about the technicalities of a course of action. You guys want to do something for the community? Just sit down and play the fucking game.
Falhawk said:Tribes is dead because of our community. I appreciate that people are working to revive things but they are working against a lot of problems:
1.) this isn't 1999. People have grown and changed. They will never again view games the same way they did 6 years ago.

3.) The community doesn't know what they want. This is plain to see from T2 and T:V.

If whats going on in TT is what you call a community, well then. To be honest, I really don't want to be part of whats going on here.
Arcanox said:I don't expect it to be the saving grace that will bring us to the promise land. I expect it to at least keep people occupied untill theres going to be something we can really look forward to.
I realise that playing T2 isn't meant to last, but even if TT did organise pickups every week it would be time better spent than bitching about how to get back at VUG and make our own game.

What we are saying is that the game we want, can't be free, unless you find a magical way to make it, publish it, and advertise it.
Playing T1 or T2 is not good enough simply because the numbers are only falling, and we don't have enough people who can actively play to keep the ladders alive.
We must bring new people into the community. To do this, we must create a professional game, which will take money, and then next we need to advertise it(money), and must distribute it, which will also cost money.
Your solution is great and all, but how is it any different then legends?
What we are offering here is Tribes 3. That’s what we want. And as my topic suggests, and some of the stupid posts by people like you prove, is that you people can't get our idea and reasoning through your heads, as you keep on bringing up issues that are beside the point.
