I would assume they will just roll out the update like they always do with a small blurb of what was in it. Then in a day or two advertise it to get new people on board.
the lack of news from them does have me wondering if they are still sticking with the release date.

Valve announced today that the free content - which will introduce new gameplay modes and open up two campaigns for versus play - will be released on Xbox 360 at 2am Pacific Time. PC owners will have to wait until "later in the day".
