None of the people who he is submitting this to know that, so wtf do you care?

You don't think that they'll be interested to know exactly what he did to win that dinner?

This baffles me. I'm suprised they are going to hire you without any sort of REAL sales experience or interview with their sales department. To me, it doesn't look like you've proven yourself in a sales position. It seems like a bad move on their part. Ah well, the situation will correct itself eventually.

they have verbally talked to me and my manager. They know my history here at verizon, and z2solutions (my own biz)

I have accomplished a lot..

they are so beond the "can he sell" problem.

its a matter of why should we let someone in without a degree or experience in the company.

and my answer is my technical resume that shows i know more then their current salesmen.

When they ask he'll act like he and Gates are really close. "Oh it's a wild story, me and Billy boy go way back!".

I'm just going to be honest and say you will not get the job, and if by chance you do you'll be terminated abruptly. I'm not trying to be insulting, discouraging, or mean, but you live in false realities that you are not in aware of and i'm afraid most people see this. You don't really know what is going on.. kind of like the Matrix but you have no super powers and there is no pill that could possibly save you.

:(

This about sums it up.

Write a cover letter. You can explain better in a cover letter. And your resume looks long, keep it 1 page. I was an intern this summer and I got to look at some resumes when I was bored. At a job making that sort of money with your lack of experience and education, you better be writing a cover letter to explain why you deserve it. And not doing one shows you're lazy. Post your cover letter for us if you have one.

Ill make a cover letter. Thanks for the advice.

Btw its 1 page

All the negativity TW gives me just pushes me more. I love it.

none taken... i come to TW for brutal honesty..

thanks

other than that I'd just expand on the experience you had. especially the sales experience. Then you're pretty much set IMO.

All you need to do is get into the interview and you're set.

i have the interview
she knows my sales experience
she just has to convince HR

I swear to fucking god that if you can somehow get me about a 5 second video clip of the look on your face as you try and come up with a response when they further inquire about that xbox contest I will pay you 80k a year my god damned self, and you can have my car.

by looking at your resume I fail to see how you are qualified for the job. Unless the lady tells the HR about how good of a salesman you are, how will he really know? I don't see anything in your resume that really mentions sales.

And definitely remove the xbox tourney thing.

Best of luck in getting the job, but I don't see how you can get an 80+K year job with no real experience and no college degree. But I'll still root for ya :)

A guy who applied for a job where I work listed "talented in magic tricks such as breathing fire" on his resume.

He didn't get hired.

Lucky him.
