Did my Vizio just die?

In the middle of a show the picture turned pale white and slightly hazy, sound is fine, problem's on all inputs. Changing picture settings does nothing to fix the problem. Has this happened to any other vizio tv owners? If so how expensive was the fix.


I tried some google research which suggests that the white balance chipset might be damaged due to overheating requiring a repair on the main board... however I have no idea how intensive/expensive this repair is
 
Unplug, wait, fix? If not call and see if they have some type of warrenty/repair service. If not, dispose of it and buy a Samsung.

I own all Samsungs except 1 Mitsubishi 72 that I got a few years back.

Never had an issue with any of the Samsungs but the Mitsubish has gone through 4 or 5 service calls with misc issues. I don't think I'll purchase anything other then Samsung again.

when i owned one, mine flashed bright neon colors for a few seconds, bout a month or two down the road it was fucked screen was black. dude said its cheaper just to buy a new one than get it fixed
