I don't know what your definition of "world famous" is... but I've heard of Tea Party. I'm in Australia.

I don't particularly like them, and I can't name any of their songs, but I've heard of them.

tea party was a decent enough gay band, goth as fuck and shit

got major airplay on canadian tv because they weren't terrible musicians and they helped fulfill muchmusic's canadian content requirements for the crtc

really they weren't that great and they were a gay ass band that made gay brooding gothy videos
