Well there's a shocker - mother shows up with a prepared statement about how her son has been the victim of racism in the school district and says she will provide no details as to how/where/why/by whom.

Anyone else see a landslide of this type of shit? There's always some quivery-voiced woman who grabs a microphone and says 'you have no idea what my life is like - I have a lived experience but I'm not going to tell you anything about that'.

It's a nothing statement. Everybody has a lived experience and you're not as special as you want us to believe.

As for 'racism' in school; if it's coming from other kids then just fuck right off. Kids are mean to each other for any reason. Too small, too tall, too skinny, too fat, wears glasses, name rhymes with any other word, doesn't wear expensive enough clothing, has a weird hobby - fucking anything. If it comes from faculty then hound the principal until you see results and if they don't do shit then go to the superintendent and if you're still not getting results then maybe your claims aren't as serious as you've built them up to be, Karen.

Pedestrian shot to death, apparently for crossing road too slowly

He was shot dead because he was taking too long to cross the street. That’s the shocking motive a south Alabama police department says it’s found as part of a homicide investigation.

The victim, 29-year-old Johnarian Travez Allen, was shot eight times around 7:45 p.m. Thursday in Union Springs, a small town in Bullock County about 45 miles southeast of Montgomery.

Police responded to the scene at a gas station on Underwood Avenue. The shooter, later identified as Jeremiah Wesley Penn, 22, had already fled but law enforcement says he quickly sought out a sheriff’s deputy friend to whom he turned himself in.

That’s when Penn confessed, according to Union Springs Police Chief Danny Jackson.
