If we use Obi's barometer for jealousy then TW is off the charts on the jealousy meter about how good the Garcias, Bofo, etc. are living it up.

I know, personally, that I'm extremely jealous of Obibun. It's not his annoying personality that bothers me, but rather my own insecurities about being the polar opposite of someone so amazing.

Let's list his accomplishments.
Accelerated educational path achieving a highly respected and sought after degree: Check! 8 years to complete an arts degree in linguistics.

High paying job in his respective field.
Check! Selling items on ebay for marginal markups while borrowing nominal amounts of money from TW'ers and taking months to pay it back.

Amazing athletic and physical prowness.
Check! FAS survivor.

Comes from old money.
Check!

Hopefully I'm not forgetting anything. I completely agree that a person with these amazing accomplishments can talk down to their peers on the internet.

You forgot his ability to maintain a childlike sense of wonder about the world even when he's agitated. The more flustered he gets the more astonished he becomes.

You can pretty much chart how hot and bothered he currently is by the number of times "I find it amazing..." appears in his posts.
 
I hope some day when he is a bit more travelled (figuratively, as in the chronological sense)he stumbles back onto an archive of his drivel and has the realization of how pathetic he appeared to the rest of us. I think it will be a humbling moment, and he will come away with a determined resolve to become a better person.
 
i wonder if he's going to be one of those guys that is still trying to live a college life style and party in bars as he closes in on 40.

holy shit, 12 pages in the 24 hours since i last read this thread

i hope most of those pages were obibun providing very detailed and explicit photographic or video documentation of his sexual conquests to support his claim that it is indisputable fact that the average man, at the end of his life, has had sex with 1/4 of the women obibun has by age 25 -- and all of obibun's were smokin hot

but he probably didn't, and claimed it was to prevent nerdgins like me from masturbating
