abused by who? I thought during the last episode Hart had some monologue about losing attention of his life/ family, which would seem to explain how he had lost sight of his daughter while she drifted into troubled teen territory

it's possible that it's a red herring but the combination of the barbies scene with the princess tiara scene, and hart saying that his sin was inattention. then we flash forward to the daughter having a twosome. either it's sexual abuse, or it's a red herring for another trauma.

some people think that hart being a shit father explains the fascination with sex. that seems overblown to me, but it is another possibility. but wouldn't the other daughter also be messed up? i lean towards sexual abuse because it would be all the more poignant because hart is a detective. he is meant to be observant.
