Average Draft Grades

I averaged out the grades of each team by the major draft sites (that have grades up) along with my own swing grades. If the teams share the same letter grade, but their rank is different, it means their rank (assigned on a 4.0 scale) were a little bit different, but not enough to change the actual letter grade.

Code:
Rank	Team Avg Grade
1	Arizona A
2	Cleveland	A-
2	San Francisco	A-
4	New York Jets	B+
4	Green Bay	B+

Player Rankings

Here's how I determined the rankings - I took the most reputable draft sites (scouts inc, kiper, footballsfuture.com, etc) and compiled a list of players' that most often appeared in the top 64. If the player was in one top 64, but not another, I gave him a rank of 76. Then I averaged it all out. Obviously this method is by no means scientific, but I think it arranges all the subjectivity pretty well. Teams who share the same ranking had the same average rank.

Mock Draft

Ended up predicting the first round with a 53% accuracy, which is ok I guess. Ironically, if I had stuck with the mock draft I had up the day before the draft, I would have been more accurate. BTW, I'm calculating accuracy by assigning 5 points to a correct pick minus one point for every place off (no less than zero points though). So I scored 84/160 points.

Comparatively (I spotted everyone Bush and Mario Williams):
sporting news' war room predicted with a 34% accuracy
Scouts.inc predicted with a 34% accuracy
Kiper predicted with a 45% accuracy
Sports Illustrated's Dr. Z predicted with a 42% accuracy

So I'd say my system worked pretty well

If the Chiefs take Demeco Ryans then they are well on thier way to putting together an elite linebacker core.

While I am not a Chiefs fan (the opposite in fact) they are a team who used to be famous for having brutal defenses (especially in the front 7). Much like Nebraska (which I also hate) it was fun to watch a team that could get after other teams so consistently and ferociously.

i dont think the eagles will draft lendale white, we need to replace TO and our aging OT's

Even though I'm going mainly by the best available player theory right now, I don't think it's much of a stretch. Westbrook has injury problems and even when he is healthy, he's not a tough inside runner. White's good insurance and if anything could be a great goal-line back.

Think back to the Chiefs taking Larry Johnson. If you get a guy who you think can be a high quality starter in the league at that position (and a guy who can handle a ton of carries) then you have to think hard about taking him.

Especially when you take into consideration the fact that the Eagles running game was totally non-existent. It isn't like you can't make Westbrook useful in other aspects of the game if it comes to that.

A question for you guys - who is the player that will likely go 5-10 spots before your team drafts that you would really like to see your team get?

And leave out top 5 players please as it is obvious that most of them should be high impact players (though they won't all end up that way).

For me it is Michael Huff of Texas. An explosive playmaking safety who can cover would make Denver's secondary complete. Foxworth and Darrent Williams are pretty damn good and Bailey is obviously a great corner but a playmaking safety in coverage (as opposed to a playmaker in run support like Lynch) would make them incredibly dangerous on D.

IF Mercedes Lewis goes at his respective position, He'd be a perfect fit on the Bengals. They need a TE that can fit with their air-show of an offense. I'd pick Cincy to go to the AFC champ game next year and the Superbowl the year after without any major injuries

Between Westbrook and Moates, the Eagles have a solid running game and would be much better suited to use their 1st pick on another position. either a WR or some Defense

eagles will not get white, between westbrook's new contract and the two emerging rookie moats and perry, i highly doubt it
they might go wr in holmes, a LB, or OT

vick should be in the top 20 at least

he will be drafted ahead of cutler

arrested 3 times, kicked off football team;

he will be luckly to even get drafted.

I could really see Parcells and the cowboys taking a chance on Vick. Then again, old Bill has had enough drama in his time

I honestly don't see Vick going in the first day unless he tears up his workouts. I think people have learned from the Maurice Clarett's, Lawrence Phillips', and Ryan Leaf's that character does matter. And Vick is a complete piece of shit on and off the field.

edit: and this especially goes for a QB. How is he supposed to be looked at as a leader if he can't even take care of himself?
