Yahoo and AOL to merge?

hey i dunno if you guys know this but the new msn and the new yahoo both work together. Wouldn't this mean a unified chat network? Where, eventually, a three platform client would exist officially?
 
yahoo is doing pretty shitty and reconsidering microsoft's offer. i'm not sure that this will actually happen
